Our clients found us searching for bespoke interior furniture makers in Oxfordshire, having recently thoughtfully renovated their entire three storey house in Charlbury. They both particularly wanted Luke to help form a vision for each room with interior bespoke furniture to help bring a cohesive touch room to room, throughout the home.
They were looking for someone who could accommodate their timescales, match their passion for renovation work and be flexible. We worked around their budgets and timescales and visited their lovely home in stages over a period of 18 months. During this time we have handcrafted and installed entrance hall panelling and hallway cupboards to store coats, shoes and wellies for outdoor lifestyle that the family love, a TV Media unit within their living room, handcrafted wardrobes, bookcases, window seats and and other bespoke storage elements.
Shaker style designed furniture complemented the spirit of the home and Farrow and Ball colours were wisely chosen for the interior furniture that is built to last a lifetime and blend effortlessly into the interior scheme. Farrow and Ball, Inchyra Blue was chosen for the deep blue entrance hall and media unit, and more calming Farrow and Ball Shaded White and French Grey for the bedrooms.
We designed the entrance hall with handsome panelling that enhanced the space and echoed the style of the wooden doors that were already within the entrance hall. We incorporated a very practical and attractive coat, wellie and shoe storage that the family are delighted with.
Within their homely well used living-room we handcrafted a wall to wall and floor to ceiling TV Media Unit. Our clients have an eye for detail that requires a bespoke touch, we have enjoyed working with their vision to now retro design and fit a unique desk to the Media Unit. The couple have taken their time visiting various reclamation yards and saw mills to source the exact piece of wood for the desktop which has now found them! A stunning reclaimed piece of Walnut that we can handcraft into special desk space, positioned off the media unit.
Our clients have two daughters, and we took our time designing features for each of their bedrooms. One bedroom included a lovely window seat, desk and wardrobe fitting perfectly against a sloping ceiling to maximise space in the room. The second bedroom had a bespoke wardrobe that incorporated a cosy reading area with bookcase and pretty round pink seat that the family sourced.
One of the benefits of handmade carpentry that we offer at Cherrywood Bespoke, is being able to add the extra personal touches. Our clients had the vision to create special features within their renovation project, adding a dimension of flow, ease of use and importantly a touch of personality.
