The Brief

A picturesque home surrounded by gorgeous gardens Kate and Jurgen have lived at their Goring home for over 20 years. They reached out to us to discuss their plans to renovate their kitchen space and give it a new lease of life.

The existing space felt quite dark, with natural light only coming from one end of the room, so they included a new lighting scheme and new roof Velux window. The kitchen style was also out of date, and they wanted to create something completely different this time around.

Plywood Kitchen Goring, Oxfordshire

The brief from Kate and Jurgen was very clear, they wanted a Plywood kitchen that incorporated various colourful finishes. They shared lots of examples of what they were hoping to achieve and gave us a great foundation to work with.

They had a clear idea of appliances and the number and types of drawers and cupboards that they felt would meet their everyday needs.

The Vision

With such a clear brief we set off to design a create the Plywood kitchen that Kate and Jurgen desired.

To achieve the range of colourful finishes we recommended Formica, it has a great pallet and is very durable in nature.

We used several different Formica colours. The base cabinets were green to represent the grass, the wall and tall cabinets were blue to represent the sky. Yellow was also included in a few aspects of the kitchen as well to represent the sun. When brought together the colour scheme worked incredibly well. And Kate and Jurgen are delighted with the final result of their Plywood Kitchen in Goring, Oxfordshire.
