Our Process

To begin with you will have a chat with Luke, the founder of Cherrywood Bespoke and a craftsman and kitchen designer by trade to scope your kitchen project. At this stage we will ask you about budget goals, timescales and if all align perfectly (we sincerely hope it will), we will book you in for a showroom visit and ask you to email us a copy of your architect’s floor plans. 

We care about authentic service so you will receive a warm welcome to our beautiful kitchen showroom in Cropredy in North Oxfordshire.  You will get to see, feel and use our exceptional Shaker kitchen and Plywood Kitchen products and feel our passion for meticulous craftsmanship and exacting design. At this stage we want to really get to know you and your space and your dream kitchen aspirations so we will ask the right questions to optimise your design choices.  

In between your first and second visit we will work on a concept design of your proposed kitchen, to provide you with a visual layout for you to consider in step 3, along with a written quotation based on our discussions. 

We have a very accessible approach to bespoke kitchen design and want to share as much as possible, discussing what goes into designing your kitchen and exceeding your expectations.  At this 2nd meeting you will experience our workshop tour so you can see a kitchen being crafted. After your tour you will re-visit our showroom which is a 5 minute drive from our workshop.   We will be excited to present your individual 3D kitchen design and discuss the cost of your project.  We will have a folder for you to take away with one image of your kitchen design to discuss and mull over. 

If we have arrived at this stage, we are pretty sure you will be happy with our price and depiction of your kitchen and want to come onboard with us.  Once you are completely happy with the initial design and price we ask for a 10% deposit to secure workshop production weeks on our calendar to handmake your kitchen.

We care deeply about design so we have invested to work with a very experienced and established interior designer  for our kitchens, to complete the unique and personal details of your kitchen project. You will meet Stephanie Wilhelm at our showroom and she will take you through the process of creating a truly beautiful interior designed kitchen. You will have fun discussing the style and colour of your kitchen cabinetry, your worktop and handles.

We know how important details are, so from this meeting we upgrade your initial design sketch to a beautiful 3d artistic plan of your final kitchen. We will email this to you to enjoy and of course, there will be opportunities to make small design tweaks before production begins.

We are now ready to start handmaking your kitchen in our workshop! We will ask for a 50% payment before production commences. At this point all the high quality and natural kitchen materials are lined up ready to be lovingly crafted into your Cherrywood Bespoke kitchen. You will have met the talented craftsman who will be handmaking and then carefully hand painting your kitchen.

The culmination of your kitchen dreams and our years of experience meet here. At this point we ask for a 30% payment before delivery. Your beautiful handmade kitchen has been crafted, carefully loaded and is about to arrive! Our bespoke kitchen fitters will deliver your kitchen in the days leading up to your agreed install date.  Our team of fitters will be fully briefed on your kitchen and have years of expertise under their belts to make it a smooth operation. 

Shortly after your bespoke kitchen has been installed, your worktops are in and you have a working tap, we will arrange to come back to make sure you are happy with everything and sign off your completed project. Once it is signed off we ask for the final 10% payment to be made. We are very grateful that you chose us and will make sure your kitchen is exactly as you imagined in every fine detail.
