Luxury is often a perceived value that relates to external appearance or brand name, and this might make the item desirable or ‘shiny’ on the outside – but it might actually lack substance within. That’s not the kind of luxury we do. We do honest luxury – the kind that takes time to create; considered, grounded, and worthwhile. That’s why our tagline is honestly made kitchens.
Even using the word luxury doesn’t always sit comfortably with our ethos, it doesn’t really roll off the tongue when talking about our handmade kitchens. Let us explain why. Luxury can sometimes mean beautiful things that are ‘throwaway’ or easily replaced by something newer and more appealing. At Cherrywood Bespoke however, we care about the planet, we care about purpose, and we care about making things that are built to last.
Sometimes, luxury is associated with big brand names. But brands without rooted values can lose their essence and start skimping on the details, beginning to relying solely on their image. Many companies come to mind and not just in our cabinetmaking industry. They might begin outsourcing parts of their business in the UK or abroad to save money or buying in elements of their manufacturing process at a lower cost.
We are an entirely local business founded on solid values, and we want to have a positive impact. We choose wisely, we care about our staff, and most importantly – we care about you, our customers. As we said, the word luxury feels a tad uncomfortable with our ethos. So instead, we prefer to say Conscious High Quality – this is a term that feels more true to our small business.
Luxury can cost more, and this will depend on your expectations. But the confidence we can give you is that when you choose a kitchen from us, you are paying a fair price for Conscious High-Quality products. It feels like a positive exchange. We don’t make big margins; we care about what we do, and we care about the longevity and purpose of our work.
