In a Shaker kitchen cabinetry doors feature flat panels and square frames, designed with minimal fuss and durability as a priority. At Cherrywood, we take a serious attitude to respecting this style but we adapt with the design to suit a range of tastes. We do this by varying widths of the outer frame, and details like beads or cabinet handle styles to suit a wide range of interiors – from contemporary and classic to farmhouse-inspired designs. We also blend fitted cabinetry with freestanding pieces, or combining classic and contemporary Shaker, to create bespoke kitchens that are unique to each individual and their property.

Our most popular choice is birch plywood, known for its soft, light grain and ability to take colour beautifully. Oak-faced plywood is equally striking, offering a deeper tone for a more traditional or luxurious feel. Both are available to view in our showroom. When colour is added, our interior design partner will help you find the perfect palette. We then press the coloured layer onto the cabinetry in our workshop, exposing the end grain at edges and handles to create a tactile and distinctive finish.

Just a few miles from Blenheim, Cherrywood Bespoke was built around one person’s belief in doing things well. That person is Luke Cherry – a trained cabinet maker with over 20 years of experience and the founder of our business.
Luke is hands-on and values the kind of honest, purposeful work that makes a difference to people’s lives. He’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves, and you’ll still find him at the workshop when we need more hands.
