Bespoke Kitchens in Great & Little Tew

Bespoke Kitchens Designed For Everyday Life In Great & Little Tew

Across Britain, kitchens are where life comes alive.  They are spaces of energy, conversation, and sometimes quiet reflection, where families gather for meals, catch up on the day, and share small moments that matter.  A kitchen sets the tone for everyday living, offering comfort, practicality, and a place where daily life feels connected and enjoyable.

It’s well understood that spaces influence how we feel and behave.  At Cherrywood Bespoke, near Great & Little Tew, we bring over 30 years of combined experience to designing kitchens that enhance everyday living.  Each space is crafted to balance function and beauty, supporting daily routines, encouraging joy, and creating a kitchen that is both practical and pleasurable to use.

Shaker Kitchens in Great & Little Tew

Shaker kitchens are a favourite because they combine elegance, functionality, and a proud history of craftsmanship.  Originating from the Shaker movement in the late 18th century, every piece of furniture was handmade with purpose and integrity – as a kick back against The Industrial Revolution.  Furniture and cabinetry were designed to last, with only practical, useful items created, yet the simplicity of the design made them naturally beautiful.

In a traditional Shaker kitchen, the doors are defined by flat panels in the middle and simple square frame on the edges, ensuring durability in the design – but the style is also incredibly popular and has timeless appeal.

At Cherrywood Bespoke we respect the original style of the Shaker Kitchen; we love the narrative of the era and we make everything by hand consciously choosing our materials and the companies we partner with.  We alter the door frame widths and include subtle details, like beads, which tailor the style to suit contemporary, classic, or farmhouse interiors. Using a mix of fitted and freestanding cabinetry or blending classic and contemporary Shaker, Cherrywood Bespoke creates kitchens that are practical, elegant, and entirely individual.

Plywood Kitchens in Great & Little Tew: Strong, Beautiful, Practical

Within our specialist kitchen design and making business, plywood is one of our favourite materials to work with.  It creates cabinetry that is both beautiful and durable, with a timeless quality that feels at home in both modern and period properties.  Often chosen for Scandinavian-inspired kitchens, plywood lends itself to simple, elegant design.  Every kitchen we’ve created using plywood has been unique, and each one is built to last.  Its stability makes it a reliable choice, and our 15-year guarantee gives you extra confidence in its quality.

Birch plywood is our most requested option, with a light, reflective tone that blends perfectly with a wide range of colour pigments.  For clients wanting something richer, oak-faced plywood is another stunning choice.  Samples of both can be explored in our showroom.  We also collaborate with an interior designer to guide you through colour options, pressing the chosen finish onto the cabinetry in our workshop and showcasing the natural end grain of the plywood at the edges and handles.

Who is Luke Cherry - Founder of Cherrywood Bespoke.

| Narrative Behind The Cabinet Maker and founder |

We want you to understand the heart of our business and this matters so you know that our products arise from integrity and true desire to make things well.

Luke’s methodology to success is to work hard at what you love, be true to yourself, your craft and your customers, and have the grit to stay the distance. It takes a certain mindset to continually improve and grow a business – and Luke is a ‘details’ man through and through!

Luke is a cabinet maker by trade with 20 years of experience- he often ‘works on the tools’ himself when we need more hands in our workshop. He is not one to compromise on many things – especially standards and integrity – he has always wanted to make a difference to everyday living with simple, beautiful and timeless solutions that are meaningful to his customers.

| What Matters To Luke |

  • Honest proper craftmanship – creating kitchens and furniture to be proud of
  • Beautiful design – to last objects have to be desirable and that helps their longevity because we simply don’t ever want to part with them
  • Tradition and lasting objects of the past. Luke can often be found at antique fairs admiring items – it takes a craftsman’s eye to see what’s been made well. He loves collecting beautiful objects as you can see from our showroom!
  • Being a part of a movement for better quality products made in the UK that respect the environment; Local – Lasting and Loved.

As part of our honest kitchen pledge – Luke will show you how we make our kitchens, and teach you how bespoke is different from off the shelf and every customer will receive a unique bespoke design by Luke to take away.
