In the kitchen market, there is a difference. There’s the surface-level version of ‘luxury’ – kitchens that may initially look the part but struggle to stay looking good over time. Doors may drop, often drawers misalign, the paintwork chips, and what’s beneath the surface might be processed materials – not real wood..
Then there’s real, lasting luxury, made from natural materials inside and out. Solid wood, carefully selected and lovingly sanded and crafted by hand. We hand paint using a specialist roller and brush and the technique creates fabulous results. We select hardware that’s made to age beautifully and feels heavy and solid. We’ve been designing and making kitchens for more than 15 years, and the Shaker kitchen remains a firm favourite. It’s timeless and versatile and loved by designers, craftsmen and architects to the same degree. The original Shaker ethos prioritised utility and integrity above all else. We take that same principle and elevate it with an eye for design, pure materials and dedicated cabinet makers to honor the original ethos. Our aim is to create spaces that are both refined for enjoyment and aesthetics and deeply functional to live with.
With a Shaker-style door, the design can be subtly tailored to suit the period and character of your home. A narrower frame brings a more contemporary edge and if we add a bead to the door frame it becomes more intricate without feeling overdone. We know that handles, colours and finishes all matter, and we work with a trusted interior designer to help you find the right balance for your space. Our role is to make sure your kitchen feels completely at home, and makes you want to be at home more to enjoy it!
